America has been dubbed the Fast Food Nation; hamburgers, fries, and milkshakes are said to form the American diet. Many researchers blame American food for the rise of obesity and overweight issues. However, a new study reveals that America is not the country that boasts of the highest fast food consumption.
Believe it or not, Britons are the number one guzzlers when it comes to fast food. According to the latest Synovate study, Brits are the keenest fast food consumers in the world, closely followed by Americans. When British and American respondents were asked to identify with the statement, "I like the taste of fast food too much to give it up", 45% of the British agreed, compared to 44% of Americans.
This survey involved 9,000 people across 13 different countries - Australia Brazil, Canada, France, Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the United States.
The study also revealed that people have inherently conflicting issues about their body weight. Many people feel better about eating a hamburger or an extra portion of pizza by accompanying their meal with a diet cola. It is on the whole this attitude that is contributing to the problem and in turn is increasing the amount of people forced to use anti-obesity medications like Reductil to try and combat their weight problems.
In spite of rising obesity and over-weight issues, people do not take things seriously. Doctors and scientists fear obesity might become a pandemic soon if Britons and Americans do not fight their fast food cravings and have indicated that they expect a sharp rise in the use of Xenical UK within the next few use as the number of those suffering with obesity in the UK continues to grow at pandemic proportions.
