Viagra is a phenomenal drug and has achieved remarkable success, but now fake Viagra sale online is giving Pfizer (manufacturer of Viagra) a run for its money.

Pfizer itself is on a hunt now for fraudulent websites that allow people to buy Viagra that is bogus or counterfiet.
An alert from the pharmaceutical company, Pfizer, led to an investigation, which helped Chinese and US Customs officials arrest eleven Chinese citizens and one American citizen. These men were involved in counterfeit or bogus drug scam in 11 countries including Britain, America and Israel. The officials of both the countries said that around $4m - worth of fake drugs were sold over the internet and delivered to customers by mail.

Fake drug manufacturers may face heavy fines, life imprisonment or death penalty, according to the new draft, which is jointly written by China's Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate.

A Pfizer spokesperson withholding the details of impact of counterfeit and fake drugs on original Viagra simply said, "Viagra sales have been satisfactory; however, we believe the product could grow faster if patients were more careful about purchasing the original drug,"

Patients suffering from impotence can take precautions by remembering that original Viagra is sold in a single tablet strip only and has a unique hologram on the pack. If they find Viagra sold in strips of 4 or in bottles and jars, they should steer clear of it. Also make sure that the source you are looking to purchase from is certified.
