Viagra prescription helps police track down thief

It’s proof that Viagra can, in some cases, help with more than just curing erectile dysfunction. A man from Texas whose car was broken into managed to get his possessions returned – all thanks to a receipt that he kept after being prescribed the impotence treatment.

The story started when the thief smashed the window of a car, stealing the thousands of dollars worth of golf equipment, a GPS device and a camera. The man escaped unnoticed; however, not too long after, police found him driving another car that he had broken into and stolen.

Upon searching the vehicle, the officers discovered the golf clubs. Although they did not know at first who the clubs were supposed to belong to, the policemen soon discovered a Viagra prescription in one of the bag’s pockets, enabling them to trace the victim.

Thanks to Viagra, the golf clubs got back to their rightful owner, as did his Viagra prescription.

Viagra and crime

Viagra is often mentioned with regard to crime, but usually, it isn’t good news as it was in this case. There have recently been a couple of cases where robbers have targeted pharmacies Viagra supplies (perhaps knowing the value if they sell the drug on illegally). Fake Viagra factories have been raided by police all over the world, from Canada to the Middle East, and in the UK, thousands of Viagra pills were sold openly on the auction site Ebay at one point. Once informed the website shut down these sales, some of which offered the drug at a quarter of the price of genuine Viagra.
