Kelly Osbourne has confessed to bursting into tears when she saw post-weight loss photos of herself in a magazine.
The daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne and X-Factor judge Sharon was posing in bikini in the shot, after losing an incredible 48 pounds. It was the first time Osbourne had ever worn a bikini.
"I cried when I saw the picture, everyone that was there, we all just burst into tears." It was a thrilling experience," Osbourne told Us magazine.
"I have never worn a bikini in my life before yesterday. I never even thought of wearing one," she added.
The 25 year old's weight loss followed her appearance on Dancing with the Stars. After the show she continued to work with the woman who had been training her, Sarah Hagaman, to stay in shape.
You might have thought that Osbourne would have had to stuck to a severe exercise plan to lose so much weight, but Osbourne insists half an hour each day is enough. "It doesn't seem overwhelming and I can handle that," she said. "I do half an hour on the treadmill and when I feel like doing more, I'll do a few sit-ups and some weights."
Writing in her own column in Closer magazine, Osbourne says her weight loss has been healthy and gradual. "I haven't gone to extremes – it’s just been down to smart eating and regular exercise." She hasn't gone down the route of other celebrities like Demi Moore and Gwyneth Paltrow, who have tried to follow the macrobiotic diet. Gwyneth Paltrow developed bone problems after trying to stick to the fad-diet. Doctors recommend that a diet focusing on moderation is the best way to lose weight.
