Dr Shamik Basu graduated from St George's, University of London in 2002. He has an interest in dermatology and has worked predominantly as a GP for the last thirteen years.
He is a senior clinician with thorough experience working in acute medicine and across diverse GP settings (including out-of-hours).
Dr Basu is most passionate about making healthcare accessible, which is what led him to his current role as a prescribing doctor with HealthExpress.

After graduating from St George's Medical School, Dr Basu completed rotations in surgery, acute medicine and dermatology.
His work has found him working in traditional GP surgeries, as a locum physician in hospitals, and in a variety of out-of-hours and A&E roles.
