Vesicare (solifenacin) is a clinically proven medication to help reduce and stop urinary incontinence. Medically known as a muscarinic receptor antagonist, Vesicare can relax muscle spasms keeping the uncomfortable symptoms of incontinence at bay.
Whilst the usual style of incontinence is pads placed in your underwear, medication offers a subtler and more clinically effective approach to an overactive bladder.
What are the benefits?
Vesicare oral medication provides symptomatic treatment for an overactive bladder and is an effective medication for conditions like urinary incontinence. This medication increases the amount of urine that can be stored by your bladder, reducing the constant urge to pass urine. Vesicare does not affect your daily routine and comes in the form of a tablet that you are required to take only once daily.
How does Vesicare work?
As your bladder fills, it expands, triggering a message to the brain telling you to go to the toilet. Your bladder then contracts causing you to urinate. If you have urinary incontinence, your bladder contracts before it expands causing the symptoms of the condition.
The active ingredient solifenacin belong to the group known as antimuscarinics and all work in the same way to treat urinary incontinence. Solifenacin prevents these spasms by relaxing the muscle cells, making the bladder more effective at retaining urine and preventing urine leaks. This means you'll not feel the urgency to go, you won't need to urinate so often and you won't experience leaking.
How does it work?
Vesicare tablets contain the active ingredient solifenacin succinate, an antimuscarinic, which works by relaxing the muscles of the bladder. It does this by blocking the actions of the receptors that are responsible for muscle contraction in the bladder and drainage. As a result the bladder's muscle walls are forced to relax, enabling the bladder to store more urine while reducing the urge to pass urine.
What are the benefits of Vesicare?
The active ingredient, solifenacin, has been clinically proven to improve the awkward symptoms of incontinence and aims to reduce urinary urgency and increase bladder capacity.
By reducing these muscle spasms, you may also find your bladder at more ease. All of these factors make you more comfortable and increases your confidence.
