How to use Lenzetto Spray
Apply to clean, dry skin
Use the spray on the inner forearm, ensuring the skin is clean and free from creams.
Press the spray once per dose
Hold the bottle upright, press firmly, and let the spray settle on the skin.
Allow to dry fully
Let the spray dry completely and avoid touching or covering the area for 2 minutes.

What is Lenzetto spray?
Lenzetto spray is a topical hormone replacement therapy (HRT) manufactured by Gedeon Richter. It helps to improve menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes and night sweats by helping to balance your hormone levels.
How does Lenzetto spray work?
Lenzetto spray contains estradiol, which is a synthetic form of the reproductive hormone oestrogen. During menopause, oestrogen levels fall, which is what causes symptoms. Lenzetto therefore works by restoring your oestrogen levels, reducing these symptoms.
What are the benefits of Lenzetto spray?
As well as reducing menopause symptoms, Lenzetto has several unique benefits:
- Fewer side effects compared to oral HRT - the medicine is absorbed into the skin, bypassing the liver, which can help reduce the risk of serious side effects.
- Easy to apply - you spray a solution once on your inner arm, no need to rub it in, and no further action needed.
- Non-greasy - the solution is discreet and colourless, with no residue once dry.
- Good for sensitive skin - no patch adhesive, useful for women who react to patches.
Does Lenzetto contain progesterone?
No, Lenzetto only contains oestrogen. You will need to take a progestogen if you have a womb to stop the lining of the womb from thickening too much. This helps to reduce the risk of cancer of the womb (endometrial cancer).
Using Lenzetto Spray
What dose do I use?
Always follow the instructions from your doctor or specialist. The usual dose is 1 spray once a day. Your doctor may increase this to 2-3 sprays once a day if needed.
How do I apply Lenzetto Spray?
You apply each spray to your inner forearm on healthy, clean skin. Do not spray near your breasts or on any broken skin.
- When using it for the first time, prepare the spray by spraying it 3 times with the plastic cover on.
- When you’re ready, take the plastic cover off and hold the container upright.
- Rest the plastic cone on our inner arm flat against the skin.
- Press the button down fully and hold it down to release a dose.
- If you need to apply another spray, move the cone down along your arm and repeat steps 2-3.
- You may also spray on your other arm or inner thigh if you are having trouble fitting the doses on your arm.
- Let the spray dry for 2 minutes before dressing, and wait 60 minutes before bathing.
- Do not massage or rub the solution into the skin.
Sun cream can interact with Lenzetto. If you need to apply sun cream, apply it at least 1 hour before applying Lenzetto.
What happens if I forget to use it?
Spray Lenzetto as soon as you remember and then apply your next dose as usual. If you have forgotten it and it is nearly time for your next dose, wait and apply the next dose at the usual time. Missing doses may increase the risk of breakthrough bleeding and spotting.
Safety and precautions
Who cannot use Lenzetto Spray?
Do not use Lenzetto spray if you have:
- ever had breast cancer
- a cancer which is sensitive to oestrogen, such as endometrial cancer (cancer of the womb)
- any unexplained vaginal bleeding
- a blood-clotting disorder
- had a heart attack, stroke or angina (conditions caused by blood clotting)
- a liver disease or irregular liver function test results
- an inherited blood condition called porphyria
What are the most common side effects of Lenzetto Spray?
Common side effects of Lenzetto include:
- headache
- stomach pain
- nausea
- rash
- itching
- irregular vaginal bleeding
- breast pain
- weight loss or gain
