Rosacea is a chronic skin disorder which can affect the skin on a long-term basis. Although it often starts with flushing episodes, this can develop into permanent redness, a burning sensation and small blood vessels in the skin becoming visible.
The condition relapses, which means there are times when symptoms occur and times when they do not. Symptoms can generally be controlled with treatment.
You doctor may prescribe Mirvaso Gel as it contains the alpha agonist brimonidine tartrate. This stimulates the alpha receptors found on the muscle in blood vessel walls.
