So far I have found your product to be a reliable replacement for the one I was using
Zumenon is an oestrogen-only HRT medication that helps ease symptoms of menopause. Taken daily, it helps restore oestrogen levels to effectively treat common symptoms like night sweats, hot flushes, and brain fog. It contains the active ingredient estradiol hemihydrate, an oestrogen that is identical to the one your body produces naturally.
Since Zumenon is an oestrogen-only tablet, it’s typically only prescribed to women who have had a hysterectomy (a surgery removing the womb).
When you go through menopause, your body produces far less oestrogen. This can lead to unpleasant symptoms like night sweats, difficulty sleeping, and changes in mood. Zumenon works by replacing lost oestrogen with a body-identical version called estradiol. With oestrogen levels rebalanced, menopause symptoms should ease, making daily life more manageable.
There are many benefits to taking Zumenon for menopause:
Take 1 tablet every day with a glass of water. You can take your tablets at any time of day, as long as you do so at the same time each day. You can take it with or without food. Zumenon is taken without a break for continuous menopause support. That means as soon as you finish a pack, you should start the next one the next day.
When you start taking Zumenon depends on whether or not you still have menstrual periods:
If you are switching from another oral HRT, start treatment once you finish the one you are currently taking. If switching from another type of HRT (e.g. patches), speak with your doctor about how to switch safely and effectively, as advice depends on what you’re switching from.
You should begin to notice a reduction in menopause symptoms after about 3 weeks using Zumenon. However, it can take around 3 months to feel the full benefits of this HRT. Contact your doctor if symptoms don’t improve or if they worsen after this time.
Zumenon is available in two doses: 1 mg and 2 mg tablets. The dose you are prescribed will depend on your symptoms and medical history. Treatment usually starts at the lowest effective dose, and may be increased for more severe symptoms.
Zumenon will usually be prescribed to postmenopausal or perimenopausal women who have had a hysterectomy (surgery to remove the womb). For women with a womb, it may be prescribed alongside a progestogen, although a combined HRT such as Elleste Duet is more commonly recommended.
Do not take Zumenon if you have:
Zumenon can cause some side effects. Most notably, it can increase your risk of blood clots, although this risk is low and depends on factors such as age, medical history, and dose, all of which will be taken into account during your consultation.
The most common Zumenon side effects include:
This is not an exhaustive list. For a full list of Zumenon’s side effects, consult the patient information leaflet.
Weight changes have been reported with HRT use, although it is unclear whether this is directly caused by Zumenon or related to menopause itself. Fluid retention may occur, and any changes often settle over time.
Zumenon is safe provided you are prescribed treatment from a licensed healthcare provider like HealthExpress. Zumenon was approved for use in the UK in 1997, meaning it has a long track record of clinical use and monitoring.
If you still have a womb, you will either be prescribed a combined HRT like Elleste Duet that contains oestrogen and progestogen, or a progestin alongside Zumenon.
